I was born in Nottinghamshire and for most of my professional career worked as a Psychotherapist in the NHS.  For many years I worked in the North East of England, living in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.  I am now living in Penzance, pursuing my love of Cornwall and the Atlantic Ocean.

On leaving the NHS I took up my passion for painting; my interest in people now continues to be expressed and explored through my art.  I specialise in portraiture, the human form and still life.  I lean toward a classical traditional style.  I am primarily self-taught, supplemented with short courses on portraiture and still life in Florence, Italy.  My style and technique is an ongoing developmental process.

I also make jewellery.  I use natural materials like stone and silver; emphasising beauty and sensuality through both the composition and materials used.
